The UNSWCS offers and administers a series of student prizes to both undergraduate and graduate students. The cash prizes associated with the following prizes are presented at the subsequent School of Chemistry Prize Giving Evening. Undergraduate PrizesThe following prizes are awarded at the undergraduate level.
The University of New South Wales Chemical Society PrizeFor meritorious performance in Level 1 Chemistry Courses. The University of New South Wales Chemical Society George Wright PrizeFor meritorious performance in Level 2 Chemistry Courses. The University of New South Wales Chemical Society Parke-Pope PrizeFor meritorious performance in Level 3 Chemistry Courses. The University of New South Wales Chemical Society Dwyer PrizeFor the best performance in Level 3 Inorganic Chemistry. The Inglis Hudson and Jeffery BequestsFor the best performance in Level 3 Organic Chemistry. The University of New South Wales Chemical Society Prize in Honours LevelFor the best performance in the Honours Level of the Bachelor of Science program. Postgraduate PrizesUniversity of New South Wales Postgraduate Seminar PrizeThe UNSWCS offers two student prizes to postgraduate students in the third year of their postgraduate study. These prizes are based on the presentations given to the School, which are assessed by the UNSWCS Council for both content and presentation. University of New South Wales Chemical Society People's Choice PrizeThis is awarded at the School's poster day for the best Research Poster presented by a postgraduate student. This is judged by the entire School. |
