Research Interests - NMR Spectroscopy of Organometallic Complexes and Pt based anti-cancer drugs

(with Professor Trevor Hambley, University of Sydney)

The analysis of reaction mechanism as well as structure of the metal complexes is important in understanding how the catalysts work and how to best improve the catalysts. This work includes:

  • NMR studies of three dimensional structure and molecular dynamics in organometallic complexes
  • NMR and modelling studies of Pt(II) based anti-cancer drugs (with Dr T. Hambley, School of Chemistry, Sydney University)
  • Parahydrogen in reactive organometallic complexes (with Dr S.B. Duckett, York University, UK).
