Research Interests - New Routes to Catalysed Processes

To make a significant impact on the efficiency of catalysis, new approaches to catalysis are being explored:

  • Tandem reactions where two reactions or a cascade of reactions are catalysed by one catalyst in a single pot

  • Tandem catalysts where multiple reactions are catalysed in one pot using different metal complexes
  • Combinatorial Organometallic Chemistry: In these projects, rapid methods for the development of new catalysts are being developed by screening series of ligands and metals. New equipment for the analysis of arrays of reactions has recently been purchased.
