About this page.

This page provides links to downloadable documents provided by the School of Chemistry. MyCourse@UNSW provides links to library resources and MyCourse (Course reserve) holds past examination papers for all courses. Some resources listed below may be available in various formats (e.g. web pages, downloadable PDF files or MS Word files) - choose the format you want by clicking on the appropriate link.

All students should read the School of Chemistry policy on plagiarism (PDF, 150 kB).

Downloading files - username and password.

When you click on a link below you may be asked for a username and password. The username is your student number prefixed with the letter 'z'. The password is your UniPass. If your username and/or password is rejected (the password box comes back again) make sure that you have completed the form to accept the terms and conditions for using the UNSW computer network. If you have done this and the problem persists, contact DIS-Connect to verify your unipass. Some files may also require a password to open the file - your lecturer will tell you if this is the case.

Viewing and printing PDF files.

To view PDF files you must have the Acrobat Reader program (v3 or higher) and, optionally, the Acrobat web browser plugin. These are available for free from the Adobe web site. A convenient way to print a PDF file containing overhead transparencies is to choose a multi-page layout (e.g., 4 transparencies to a printed page) in the printer options. Most current PostScript™ printer drivers offer this.
