BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS

Born 1938, Dept. Organic Chemistry, Liverpool University, 1954 - 62 ( with break for military service). CSR Ltd. Roseville Research Lab., Sydney, 1963 - 65. CSIRO, Division of Food Science and Technology, North Ryde, 1965 - 97 (Principal Research Scientist). UNSW, Department of Analytical Chemistry and Founding Deputy Director of the Centre for ChemoSensory Research, 1997

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Analytical method development, especially for food and the environment. Odour sensing by electronic noses. Biosensors (immunosensors) and chemical sensors. Application of olfactory and gustatory knowledge to human sensory analysis and marketing of foods.
