The NSW RACI Crystal Growing Competition 2008 saw record numbers of participants. Over 150 schools registered for this years competition. The  Crystal entries received indicate over 2250 students have participated this year. The standard of the entries were very impressive this year  - 1190 students entered crystals  that were of a standard which placed them in our finals (that being of a standard Highly Commended and above).

We are very excited to announce the winners of this years competition  below:

K-3 Division 2008


1st Place: Macinley Butson,Wollongong West PS (Year 2)
2nd Place: Linus Cooper, Homebush West PS (Year 2)
3rd Place
(tied):Oscar Hedley (Year 2) and  Hannah Roth (Year 3), both from Lakes Grammar School

4-6 Division 2008

1st Place: Ethan Butson,Wollongong West PS (Year 6)
2nd Place: Matthew Ross, Chatswood PS (Year 4)
3rd Place
: Group Entry of Seven Students from Attunga PS (Nicola Robinson, Ben Abra, Mannie Cormie, Chloe Dowe, Oliva Kleinschidt, BJ Marwick, Dylan Sheedy)

7-8 Division 2008

1st Place: Steven Xu, James Ruse Agricultural HS (Year 8)
2nd Place: Group Entry of Two Students from Galston HS -Shivesh Mudaliar, M Mitchell Moise (Year 8)
3rd Place
