The purpose of the Environmental Chemistry group is to assist in disseminating information, raising the awareness and facilitating communication on all aspects of environmental chemistry both to other RACI members and to the general public. This task is achieved through a combination of specialist lectures, workshops, training programs, site visits and conferences. Topics covered include issues pertaining to the chemistry of air, water and soils with attention focussed on both detailed technical aspects (analytical, mechanistic, process, etc) as well as regulatory and legislative aspects pertaining to Environmental chemistry.
